Principal/Administrator

Mrs. Nehrbass' career at Children's Rainbow Day School / Rainbow Christian Academy began in 1985 as an aftercare staff member. Over the years, she was a preschool teacher, an elementary teacher, and a middle school teacher. Since 1997, she has been serving as Rainbow Christian Academy's elementary and middle school principal. Mrs. Nehrbass holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Resources and a Master of Science Degree in Education. In addition, she holds certificates in Administration, Guidance Counseling, and Preschool Director. She is happily married and has three children who have all attended Rainbow Day School and Rainbow Christian Academy.

As a Believer: Mrs. Nehrbass is a strong believer that God has led her to where she is today and continues to pray for the ability, together with families, to invest in the lives of God's most precious gift, children. Our principal believes that every child can be successful if given the appropriate foundation and tools. By forming a partnership between the people in home and school, Mrs. Nehrbass is confident that through academic training and social development, all God-given talents will be developed.

I count it a privilege to work with each of my students and get to know each of their families. I have been actively involved in Redland Church of the Nazarene since moving to Florida 17 years ago. I love teaching at Rainbow because it gives me the opportunity to share my faith with the students."

Currently, my family and I attend Christ Fellowship Church in Palmetto Bay."

"I feel privileged to be a part of the Rainbow family and excited about bringing my experience and love for young children to RCA. I graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and am a Certified Teacher by the State of Florida. My home church is Granada Presbyterian, where I am constantly growing in my relationship with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My pride and joy are my two wonderful children: Robert Adam and Scarlett Marie. Scarlett will be attending 7th grade here at Rainbow Christian and Robert is a Junior at Coral Reef Senior High School. It is my goal to reach my students on an individual level which causes them to flourish academically, emotionally, and spiritually. I am looking forward to creating a year filled with memories and lessons that will last a life time!"

"My name is Ms. Glass, I have worked at Rainbow Christian Academy for 14 years as a first grade teacher. I believe that teaching is a HIGH calling and that the Master Teacher is Jesus Christ. I received Christ as my Savior at the age of ten. I attend Glendale Missionary Baptist Church in Richmond Heights. I’m a graduate of South Dade Senior High School. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Delta State University, and received my teaching certification in elementary from the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools, and my 5-9 Language Arts certification through the Florida Department of Education. Prior to teaching first grade, I taught kindergarten for two years and I have served as a K-4, N-3 and N-2 teacher. I also have a background in Montessori education."

"As a first year, first grade teacher I am overjoyed with the opportunity to teach at Rainbow Christian Academy. My experience with Rainbow Christian dates back to when I was a K-4 student. I also worked as part of the afterschool staff and currently have two of my own children attending this great school. I have experienced the love and commitment that the RCA faculty and staff have for Christ and their students first hand. My background in the Mental Health field has provided me with years of experience working with children of all ages and my obedience to God’s will has lead me to teaching. I am blessed and humbled to be working with young children in a Christian environment and I look forward to a great school year."

Mrs. Meeks' career at Children's Rainbow Day School / Rainbow Christian Academy began 14 years ago. She was a preschool teacher for two years, a kindergarten teacher for another two years, and a first grade teacher for six years. Three years ago, Mrs. Meeks was honored to serve as Rainbow Day School's Preschool Director.

"As a Faithful Christian: Mrs. Meeks is a Christian woman who actively seeks God's will. She is married and has a son and daughter, who currently attend Rainbow Christian Academy. They also proudly attend Redland Nazarene Church. Mrs. Meeks loves her position as Preschool Director because it is very rewarding. 'It is such a blessing to know that I am fulfilling God's calling by being able to do something that has been as exciting and uplifting as this,' says Mrs. Meeks."

"My name is Maritha Montesano and I am excited to teach first grade at RCA this school year. All the Honor and Glory is for our God and King, Jesus Christ. Eight years ago, I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior and have since served my church in the Children's ministry (nursery to 5th grade) and wherever needed. I've worked with children in multiple capacities for both private and public schools. I've substituted, tutored, and even taught in after-school and summer programs. My classroom experience includes teaching VPK and third grade. On April 28, 2012, I married the man of my dreams, Joel Montesano, and moved from Central Florida to reside here, in Miami. My philosophy on education is that it is our responsibility, as educators, administrators, and parents to give our children (through the leadership of Christ) all the tools they need to build a strong spiritual, social, l and academic foundation based on our Faith in Him. I am delighted to become a part of the Rainbow Christian Academy family."

"I am very grateful to be teaching at RCA, a true Christian school which ministers to the whole child. I have taught on many levels, elementary thru college level, and I consider it a blessing to be able to pour into my students, no matter how old they are. My husband and I have been married for 28 years, and we have a beautiful 27 year old daughter. We were in ministry as Pastors for 25 years, and now I consider my ministry to be to the children, parents and my coworkers here at Rainbow. I am committed to do my Father’s Will and to make a positive difference wherever He leads me."

Currently, I am the Middle School Language Arts, Algebra I, and 8th grade Old Testament Bible instructor. For the past 17 years, I have thrived in the classroom setting. Each academic year, I challenge myself to improve the abilities I have gained in my profession and to utilize the gifts given to me by God to educate His children."

"I am very blessed to be serving the Lord as a teacher at Rainbow. The staff is wonderful and the students are amazing. I love to lead worship and speak to young people about the love of Jesus Christ. I’m a very passionate person and try to live life to the fullest every single day. I come from a family of ministers and educators and it's no accident God has placed me where the two can come together in an environment like Rainbow Christian."
